New Year, New Blog

I started writing Blessings in Pain as a way to connect with others who were suffering with chronic pain.  My hopes were to help those with pain that was physical, mental, or spiritual.  It’s taken me some time, but I think I realize the mistakes I’ve made; why I haven’t helped people the way I had hoped for.  This year, I’m going to follow the lead of one of my favorite bloggers, “The Old Geezer”.  He’s a great writer and Christian brother and I fully recommend you follow his blog (I use my Google Reader to see when he posts).  He taught me that preaching should be left to the professionals in the pulpit, but a question with just a little story makes for a much friendlier post.  So, thanks Ron.  I hope I can help those with pain like you do for everyone.

My plan is to post a question each day, getting people to open up and deal with their pain; to let them know they are not alone.  Who knows?  Maybe I will fail again, but I will keep trying.  My Father has given me this pain, I just have to see if this is what He wishes me to do with it.  For those who have read my blog in the past, I sincerely thank you.  If you like the new style, and know someone who may benefit; I would appreciate it if you spread the word.  I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and I look forward to hearing from you in 2011.  God bless, Tom.
